Ingredients
Directions
In a medium pot, combine the milk and sugar, stir occasionally and let it scald.
Once it is done, remove it from the flame. In another saucepan, melt the butter, add semolina and pine nuts, and stir the semolina continuously until it is appropriately mixed with the butter.
Heat the mixture with constant stirring until it turns golden brown, and make sure not to let the mixture burn. When it is done, turn the flame off, pour the hot milk mixture and mix well, cover it with a lid and let it settle. Once the semolina mixture absorbs all the liquid, the halva is cool enough to handle.
Crumble the mixture with fingers or a wooden spoon before serving, garnish with cinnamon and mixed nuts.
